The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) is a registered charity, established in 1840 to prevent cruelty to animals and is now Ireland's largest animal welfare organisation.

My name is Rufus and I’m a 1-2 year old Lurcher. I was found running loose on a busy road with a very sore neck. Thankfully a kind human caught me and brought me to the DSPCA.

I’ve had 7 surgeries here at the shelter to help fix my sore neck. I’m happy to say that the vets here are great and now I’m all better and ready to find a loving home. I can’t wait to be loved and to be part of a family. I’m a typical lurcher and love nothing more to walk, run and then sleep on a nice warm comfy couch... tucked up right beside you. I love other dogs so I don’t’ mind of there is another dog in my new home. I’ve been through a lot but i know from now on everythings gonna be alright :o)
