The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
(DSPCA) is a registered charity, established in 1840 to prevent cruelty to animals and is now
Ireland's largest animal welfare organisation.
Hi, my name is Maxwell and I’m a 4 year old male Bassett Hound cross. I came to the DSPCA as part of a cruelty case. I had a deep wound between my shoulder blades that needed to be stapled so it could heal. I also had a bad infection in my gums that was left untreated for too long and I needed a trip to the dentist! Despite all I’ve been through I am a very sweet and loving dog. I adore people and I love going on walks. I am quite strong on the lead so I need owners who are willing to do training classes and who are well able to give me the exercise I need. I need lots of legs to wear me out and lots of hands ready to throw my toys!
