The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) is a registered charity, established in 1840 to prevent cruelty to animals and is now Ireland's largest animal welfare organisation.

Hi, my name is Chewie and I’m a 2-4 year old Lurcher. I came to the DSPCA through the inspectors, who rescued me from a country lane with many infected cuts to my leg. I am a typical cuddly Lurcher with the dreamiest big, brown eyes! I walk really well on the lead and I get on great with other dogs. I am almost housetrained, so would probably be quite clean in a home where I get regular toilet breaks. I can be a little nervous to start with, especially with men, but once I get to know you I am a happy go lucky fella! I give great leggy Lurcher cuddles! A home with other dogs would be great for me, but I wouldn’t be suitable for cats or small furries.
